Fairy Camera Scanned By Scientists
Just a great excuse to test new CT equipment.
In 1917, young cousins Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths claimed to have photographed real-life fairies in their garden in England.
Using Elsie’s father’s camera, they produced convincing images that quickly became headline news, even convincing author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The Cottingley fairies mystery persisted for over 60 years until 1983, when the cousins admitted the photos were faked using cut-out illustrations, though they maintained they had genuinely seen fairies.
Recently, scientists used advanced CT scanners to analyze the cameras, finding no unusual details but showcasing the technology’s ability to reveal intricate details without disturbing objects.
