NASA's Plan to Deploy 'Marsbees' for Red Planet Exploration
NASA is exploring the concept of deploying "Marsbees," small, bee-inspired robotic drones, to enhance Martian exploration. These drones would be equipped with sensors and communication devices, enabling them to autonomously navigate the Martian surface, collect data, and return to a rover acting as their base. This approach aims to overcome the challenges posed by Mars' thin atmosphere and low gravity, which make traditional flight difficult. By mimicking the flight capabilities of insects, Marsbees could provide a more efficient means of exploring the Red Planet's terrain.
Shadows Can "Move" Faster Than the Speed of Light
While objects cannot physically move faster than light, shadows can appear to move across a surface at superluminal speeds. This occurs because a shadow is not a physical entity but rather the absence of light. When the object casting the shadow moves, the shadow's position changes instantaneously, potentially faster than light. However, this does not violate the laws of physics, as no information or matter is actually travelling faster than light.
Thai Man Arrested After 20 Years of Unauthorised Medical Procedures
Kittikorn Songsri, a 36-year-old from Samut Sakhon, Thailand, was arrested for performing penis enlargement surgeries over two decades without a medical license. Despite only completing Grade 9 education, he self-taught surgical techniques and advertised his services on social media, charging clients between 5,000 to 20,000 baht ($150 to $600) per procedure. His arrest followed a complaint from a patient who suffered a severe infection after a silicone implant procedure. Authorities charged Songsri with practising medicine without a license and operating an unauthorised medical clinic.
