Lost Temple Of Jesus
Did he perform miracles here?
During the excavation of a synagogue in Israel, archaeologists unexpectedly discovered the ruins of a much older temple beneath the ancient city of Chorazin.
According to the New Testament, Jesus performed miracles at a temple in this city, including healing the sick.
While the remains of a synagogue dating back to 380 AD were found in 1905, no evidence of the original temple had been found until now.
Recent excavations revealed a hidden temple believed to be the one where Jesus performed his miracles.
Dating this older temple has been challenging, but pottery fragments and artifacts found inside suggest it dates back to the first century AD, aligning with the time and place of the biblical events.
Lead archaeologist Achia Cohen-Tavor described the discovery as groundbreaking and one of the most important excavations he has ever directed.
